Arvin claims that he is an amateur who has never even played in a PCQ before! A long standing comic fan, Arvin likes the game because he finds the characters familiar and because it has allowed him to meet plenty of new friends. “The community is very tight,” he says, “and the game very fun. The older players also support new players so it is easy for players to join the community.”
His cousin is also an amateur and currently at 5-1. Perhaps they’ve got some super-secret family tech that the rest of us don’t know about?

Arvin thought this pool was really poor. He felt that it wasn’t balanced and had quite a few dead cards and holes in the curve.
He doesn’t have much experience in Sealed Pack, so his strategy was simply to disregard affiliation and play the largest characters of each cost. He also decided to go with generic plot twists that do not have conditions that are difficult to satisfy.
In fact, this strategy worked so well for him that in game 5, he was able to have Shadowpact, Villains United, JSA, and Checkmate all teamed-up.

Arvin’s strategy is simply to survive. With the biggest drops available to him, he should be able to force a double stun when attacked and occasionally stun equal cost characters without having his own characters stun.
Though more experienced players may question the merits of such a strategy, it certainly seems to have worked wonders for Arvin thus far.
