Players came back to the cards that most of them played yesterday—but this time the format is totally different. The big success story of the first Green Lantern Corps draft is Anti-Matter, which made up a substantial portion of the undefeated decks. Even though Manhunters is usually one of the most successful Mono-Team strategies, it seems to have been diluted due to overdrafting—many players chose the red robots only as a backup strategy to their main team. Predictably, Green Lantern has also had a good showing amongst the 3-0 decks, with a few GLEE variants being represented.
David Leader now leads the field after posting a flawless draft record so far, and he will probably be a lock for Sunday even if he 0-3s his final pod. Congratulations should also be given to Benoit Chaurette and Anthony Calabrese, who also have managed to navigate their way to a perfect day. Time will tell whether they are able to cash in their good performances for berths into the final eight.
