Apparently, attacking for an extended art extra 5 is not as good as one might think. David Leader has managed to continue the tradition of Pro Circuit winners being unable to make money at the subsequent Pro Circuit. Brian Kibler got a job at UDE; Ryan Jones didn't make Day 2 in Amsterdam; Adam Horvath similarly crashed and burned in New York; Adam Bernstein was nowhere to be seen in Indy; and now David Leader will be rocking the Sealed Pack in the $10K on Saturday, while his FTN teammates keep the dream alive in Day 2 of the Pro Circuit.
Could it be that Mike Dalton and Jason Dawson of Team FTN had the right idea when they cunningly came in second at various Pro Circuits? Will the spell finally be broken in Atlanta? It is anybody's guess, but as long as Upper Deck allows Danny Mandel to perform rituals of arcane protection on his dogs using the Savage Beatdowns, it might be best for the winner of PC LA to consider wearing a tinfoil hat for PC Atlanta in March.
