Here at Metagame.com, we get a lot of emails from readers who want to contribute to the website, but don’t know where to start. After about eighteen months of unsolicited submissions piling up in our inboxes, we’ve decided to provide the community with a fair chance to contribute and be heard.

We’ve selected some topics, and we’re looking to the players out there to give their take on them. The winning articles for each category will appear as special features on Metagame.com. Now, we have a lot of extra product sitting around the office—the desk I am using is constructed entirely out of boosters—so the player who submits the best article for each topic will also receive one box of the latest Vs. set. The best of the four will score another box on top of that! The contest starts immediately, and we’ll be accepting submissions until September 30. Try your hand at all of these if you like, but please, only one submission per topic.

Topic One

Write an article which fully explores the card From Qward With Hate or the card Spirits of Vengeance. Include strategies for building decks around the chosen card (limit yourself to Modern Age, or use the full range of cards from Golden Age—your choice). Show us your creativity!

Topic Two

As many of you know, we’ll soon be starting up a regular Deck Clinic feature here at Metagame.com. We’ve selected one of the decks submitted for analysis in that column (created by Fred from VsRealms) to use in this contest. Write an article analyzing and improving his deck, without changing the theme. You can find the decklist to improve by clicking here.

Topic Three

I opened a rough Sealed Pack the other day, and let’s just say that there was some . . . disagreement . . . among the staff here as to whether I built it correctly. Consider yourself the tiebreaker. Construct the best possible deck from my card pool (you can find it here), and explain your decisions.

Topic Four

Hobby League has been a runaway phenomenon and something that many of our loyal readers are heavily involved in, but there hasn’t been that much written about it. We’d like that to change. Write an article sharing your Hobby League experience, and we’ll post about it here on Metagame.com.
