The Asian $10K Championship Circuit has come full circle here in Kuala Lumpur, as we kick-start a brand new year of competitive gaming.
During the past year, not only have host countries managed to retain their championships, they’ve managed to keep foreign competition out of the finals as well. Today, though, the Singaporeans have once more crept across the causeway in a bid to steal the trophy, and steal it they just might.
From the Singaporean team, Keng Yin and Bertram Huang are amongst the highest-ranking Sealed Pack players present today. Incidentally, Keng Yin was also a finalist in the recent Sealed Pack $10K tournament held in Singapore.
On the Malaysian front, Chong Hsu-Yeung was their sole knight in the Top 8 of $10K Singapore, and seems to be their best hope today. Might another hero emerge?
Three players from the Philippines have also arrived to return the challenge the Malaysians issued at $10K Manila. Mario Padua, ranked second in Sealed Pack in Asia, is amongst them. He trails Keng Yin by only 4 rating points, so their performance today may very well determine who goes home with the honor of being the top Sealed Pack player in Asia.
Stay with us as the drama unfolds, and we shall present you with insight on Sealed Pack and draft strategies. Keep an eye on all the live action from $10K Kuala Lumpur, right here at Metagame.com!
