I had Scott as my second seed going into the tournament, and he has not disappointed me so far. At the end of this article you will also find Alex Brown’s draft picks, which were taken down by James Kong.

Pack One

Captain America, Super Soldier was the rare in Scott’s first pack, but The Wrecking Crew is more of Scott’s kind of card, so he drafted that. Melissa Gold ◊ Screaming Mimi, Mimi Schwartz and Beetle ◊ Mach 2 were two good characters from the next pack, but Stolen Power was taken over both of them. Keeping with the Masters of Evil theme, Bulldozer was taken over Dane Whitman ◊ Black Knight. Fourth pick was a very hard choice between Marcus Daniels ◊ Blackout and another solid character, but the 4 ATK/5 DEF won Scott over. Dallas Riordan, Mayoral Aide was taken with nothing else viable in that pack, and Blizzard was taken in the next.

Scott looked over Vermin and took his chance with it in the hopes he might get another one during the draft. Beetle ◊ Mach 1 showed up to help Scott out fill in his 1-drop, and potentially his team-up. Scott was very lucky indeed, as he saw the second Vermin he wanted. Titania, Vengeful Vixen, Heinrich Zemo ◊ Baron Zemo, Deadly Conspiracy, Mr. Hyde, Engine of Destruction and Evil Reborn rounded out the picks.

Pack Two

Faces of Evil screamed out at Scott, while Melissa Gold ◊ Songbird, Sonic Carapace tried her best to drown out those screams. Again, an almost identical pack was passed to him, and another Faces of Evil was scooped up by a now humming Scott Hunstad. A choice between Screaming Mimi and Ogre had to be made, and the latter was chosen. Stolen Power was the next obvious choice, along with Tiger Shark in the next pack. Scott was looking very content.

Huge choices had to be made in the next pack, which contained Blackout and Scorpion, Fatal Sting. The green fellow was more to Scott’s preference, and the third Stolen Power was Scott’s next pick. A second Tiger Shark was Scott’s next pick, but the next pack made Scott shake his head as he got Mystic Summons quite late. Answer the Call was an obvious hate draft, and Foxfire was also hated away. Tom Thumb, Win-Lose Deal, and Unfair Advantage rounded out the last 3 picks.

Pack Three

Scott made the funny gesture of pretending to rip up Hawkeye, Clinton Barton, as it would be a card to wreck his deck. He thought of hate drafting it, but chose Beetle, Armorsmith instead. Might Makes Right won over Yellowjacket, Rita Demara as Scott needed more offensive attack pumps. This was understandable, considering the deck Scott was trying to build. Blizzard was taken over Jolt. Mammomax was an uninteresting pick when there was nothing going for Scott. The next pack yielded him Helmut Zemo ◊ Citizen V, Tactician, but Karla Sofen ◊ Moonstone was taken instead. Mystic Summons number two jumped into Scott’s pile. Mr. Hyde number two was then taken in another uneventful pack, but was make up next pack with Paul Ebersol ◊ Fixer. Plant Man ◊ Blackheath got a big nod from Scott with five picks remaining. The Wrecker, Thermite, Iron Man ◊ Cobalt Man, Redstone and Hitman were his final picks.
