Pro Circuit Los Angeles 2006
Metagame Staff

Adam Prosak came into Pro Circuit Los Angeles 2006 with a “spoiled deck” and dream. All he’s ever wanted from Vs. System, described in his own words as “the greatest game I have ever played,” is a PC Championship trophy. Is that too much to ask? Well, folks, he finally did it.

After smashing his way through Day 1 with an 8-2 record and bashing his way to a 7-2 finish on Day 2, Adam finally made it back to the big Day 3 and won it all this time. It’s tough to find a player on the PC who loves this game more than Adam. Whether he’s tearing it up with the pros or creating new casual formats like Big Deck, Prosak always does it with a smile. Big Heart. Big Deck. Big Dreams.

Congratulations to Adam Prosak, PC: L.A. 2006 Champion!

Day 3
It’s been a great tournament and a great Top 8.
Both players sat quietly and shuffled their decks—they saved the small talk for games with less money on the line.
Anthony and Adam were all business as they prepared to determine one of the two finalists of Pro Circuit Los Angeles 2006.
Which of these two would advance to the semifinals?

Both players came in on the bubble with five losses apiece, and the winner still had a chance at an eighth place finish.
Both players started the pod with four losses, meaning a 3-0 is a sure bet for Top 8 and a 2-1 leaves it to the tiebreaker gods.
Adam was having a hard time with the electronic score pad.
Gabe Walls and Tillman Bragg came into round 16 with five losses apiece.
Jonas Skali is a German player from Team Zissou who made the trip to Los Angeles to find fame and fortune as a TCG player.
With both sitting at 10-5, a Top 8 berth is an outside shot if either player wins out.
Both players need to win out, or else they’ll have to depend on their tiebreakers to get them into the Top 8.
This round, we have two of the game’s best players, Anthony Justice and Doug Tice.
With 10-3 records, both Doug Tice and Ryan Jones are poised to make a run at Sunday.

It’s a well established fact that Vidi Wijaya is the best Vs. player on the planet, but when it comes to the second-best player, there’s some serious debate.
As with many of the matches, things started off with some friendly chatting.
Table 2 at the Pro Circuit today appears to be dangerous ground, sporting eight of the most talented players in the game today.
For the first draft of the day, I sat down with the only undefeated player left; Mr. Matt Oldaker.
