Adam won the flip and chose evens. Prosak mulliganed, and Ryan kept his hand.
Turn 1 Ryan recruited Talla Ron and Prosak had Galan. Adam gained 2 with Galan, and Ryan had no attacks.
Adam was having a hard time with the electronic score pad. “Man I blew it,” he said. “I think Gabe did it, though.” Man, poor Gabe Walls. Everything’s his fault.
Turn 2 Adam played Mind Gem on Galan and passed. Ryan played San and searched for Blue Area of the Moon. He then terraformed The Substructure and activated to put the Blue Area into his row. San attacked Galan, and Adam exhausted him to gain 2 endurance. Talla attacked Adam directly for 1 more.
Prosak 50, Lockard 50
“Where were you last turn, idiot?” Adam asked, disgusted with his turn 3 draw. (I’m pretty sure it was a 2-drop.) Ryan played Iron Man, Illuminati and terraformed Himalayan Enclave. Mind Gem came back down on Galan, and Adam continued to look for his drops. He played Creation of a Herald, found Frankie Raye ◊ Nova, Soul Searcher, and drew a card at the beginning of combat.
Ryan activated Iron Man revealing Nahrees. “Swing and a miss,” said Prosak. Iron Man attacked Galan, whom Adam activated to gain 2 endurance. Ryan passed, and Adam sent Frankie into Talla Ron.
Prosak 49, Lockard 46
Adam started off with Time Gem again on turn 4 and recruited Nahrees. Ryan answered with his own Nahrees. Combat began, and Adam drew a card with Frankie Raye.
Adam thought for a minute before he decided to send Frankie at Iron Man. Lockard revealed the top card, and it was a Lockjaw, Inhuman’s Best Friend. Since he whiffed again, he then played Starforce Strike in an attempt to stun Frankie Raye. Adam responded with Taa II to foil his plans. Nahrees attacked Talla Ron, and San attacked Galan, who gained a few more endurance. Lockard played Extended Family to team-up Inhumans and Avengers and discarded a card to add a cosmic counter to Nahrees. He activated Nahrees to keep Adam’s Nahrees exhausted next turn.
Prosak 44, Lockard 31
Turn 5 was Ryan’s initiative, and he used The Substructure to keep digging. I guess he didn’t find what he was looking for since he played Lockjaw and searched out and recruited Titania, Temper Tantrum. Adam flipped and activated Elemental Converters to draw yet another card. He then added Silver Surfer, Righteous Protector to his team.
Iron Man activated and missed again, revealing a Mind Gem this time. Lockard contemplated his attacks and decided to send Iron Man and Lockjaw at Frankie Raye; Frankie stunned Lockjaw. Next, Ryan team attacked Silver Surfer with Titania and Nahrees, then flipped Blue Area and activated it, targeting Nahrees so he could keep her on the board with her cosmic counter. Prosak, as expected, removed the counter from Surfer and sent Titania back to the grip. Prosak’s Nahrees targeted Lockard’s, while Lockard’s targeted Silver Surfer.
Turn 6 Prosak recruited Destroyer, Harbinger of Devastation, and Mind Gem came back down on Silver Surfer. Lockard recruited Dinu and sent Destroyer over to Prosak’s hidden area. Prosak sent Destroyer after Dinu and played The Power Cosmic Unleashed to put a cosmic counter on Destroyer, making him a 15 ATK / 15 DEF. Lockard activated Nahrees targeting Destroyer and took 9, bringing him down to 11. Nahrees attacked Iron Man, and Lockard sent Lockjaw over with Enclave to reinforce. Adam activated the Converters to draw another card, and they moved into recovery. Lockard recovered Iron Man since Dinu wasn’t going to ready.
Turn 7 Ryan played Gorgon and equipped Iron Man with Mind Gem. Adam played Galactus, The Maker and put it behind Surfer. Both players passed and moved into combat.
Prosak 33, Lockard 6
Nahrees and San team attacked Silver Surfer, and Ryan targeted Nahrees with Blue Area of the Moon before passing. Adam drew a card with the Converters and revealed The Power Cosmic Unleashed, which he played to put a cosmic counter on Silver Surfer. He then removed the cosmic counter to activate Taa II, and Ryan extended the hand.
Adam Prosak defeats Ryan Lockard.
